Custom Shaped Balloons

Custom shape means one of two very different things in this industry, and they cost roughly a factor of ten apart.

Cold-air: this is where custom shapes live

A cold-air inflatable is built to a shape and stands on the ground on a blower. Cows, sumo wrestlers, monsters, mascots, product replicas. We build these to around 25 feet.

They are enormous close up and effectively invisible from a distance, and the fan runs the whole time they are up, which means mains power and a lead across your site.

They are quoted per project rather than from a list, because the shape is yours. Send a sketch, a photo or a description.

Helium: standard shapes, custom printing

Our helium products come in set shapes: spheres, blimps and hot-air balloon shapes. What is custom is what is printed on them, in full colour, on both sides of a blimp.

There is a physical reason. A helium envelope has no frame; it holds its shape from gas pressure. Complex moulded shapes do not hold pressure evenly and do not fly well on a tether. The shapes that work are the shapes we make.

Which one your job needs

If the goal is that people driving past **notice you exist**, that is helium. Height is what buys distance, and 120 feet clears rooflines and trees.

If the goal is that people already on your forecourt **stop and look**, that is cold-air. A recognisable character at the entrance does something no balloon at altitude can.

Plenty of businesses end up with both, doing different jobs.

Full colour, both sides, printed during manufacture. On a 13-foot blimp the print area is 30 by 60 inches per side and lettering is $537 on top of the $975 blank.

Send whatever logo file your sign company uses. We will tell you honestly how it reproduces at that size before production starts. Mascots and detailed artwork are the hardest to get right, and a bolder, simplified version usually reads better in the air.
